Privacy notice
Plain-English summary of what we collect, why, and your rights. Last updated 19 September 2026.
Who we are
This assessment is run by CTRL+ALT+DEFEND (Marius Poskus), the data controller. Contact: mp@mpcybersecurity.co.uk. Postal: Apartment 69, Woodall Court, 7 Whitestone Way, Croydon, CR0 4WG, London, UK.
What we collect
The assessment itself runs entirely in your browser. Your quiz answers are never sent to us — they stay on your device.
We only collect personal data if you choose to submit the form at the end of your result:
- Your first name — so we can address you.
- Your email address — so we can email you.
- The recommended path from your result, so the email is relevant.
The assessment itself sets no cookies to run. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics to measure site usage — see "Cookies and analytics" below.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how people use the site, but only if you accept via the banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is collected — the assessment still works fully.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data (such as pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP, which Google does not store in full) to give us aggregate statistics. Google acts as our processor for this.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the choice back so you can decline.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details to send you a short follow-up about your result and next steps, an occasional newsletter, and community updates. Our lawful basis is your consent, given by ticking the box when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
Where it's stored and who can see it
Your details are stored in our own Amazon Web Services (AWS) account in the UK/EU (London region). Email is sent using AWS Simple Email Service, acting as our processor. We never sell or rent your data, and we don't share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, after which we remove them promptly.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or withdraw consent, at any time:
- Unsubscribe — use the one-click link in any email we send.
- Access or erasure — email mp@mpcybersecurity.co.uk and we'll action it.
You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
